On 17 October 2023, we visited Southern Beaches Landcare Coastcare in Dodges Ferry, Tasmania. Ms Jen Chapman guided us and explained their revegetation and weeding programs. Jen and her team removed Boneseed (Chrysanthemoides monilifera), which was introduced from South Africa as an invasive species and spread around Tasmania (and other states, too).

Southern Beaches Landcare Coastcare had tried to persuade the local shire council how important the remnant vegetation (where they were looking after the vegetation) was. They were enthusiastic about caring for their local patch.

We also learned that the "pig face" played an important role in covering the ground (and I should note that although it has a bit of a sarcastic name, it has a beautiful flower!).

Thanks, Jen and everyone at Southern Coast Landcare Coastcare, for showing us your impressive activities!
